The Anna Marsh Behavioral Care Clinic is a comprehensive community outpatient treatment center providing psychological, psychiatric and diagnostic evaluation services as well as individual, group, couples and family therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults who want to feel and function better in their daily lives.

As a component of Retreat Healthcare, we are able also to draw upon the services of other professionals such as nutritionists, expressive and creative arts therapists and certified chemical dependency counselors. With such a distinguished and diverse group of professionals, we are able to meet each clients individual needs.

Staff

Anna Marsh Behavioral Care Clinic is a comprehensive outpatient treatment center with a staff of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and psychiatric nurses providing services for children, adolescents, adults and older adults.

Assessment & Evaluation

Outpatient treatment begins with a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment evaluation. Our staff members have extensive clinical knowledge and experience. We develop sophisticated, sound and flexible treatment plans to meet each individual’s needs, collaborating with each person on all aspects of his or her treatment as well as with physicians and other community providers who may be involved in that person’s care. At times, further specialized evaluation may be necessary to assist in accurate diagnostic and treatment approaches. The Anna Marsh Behavioral Care Clinic can rely on the extended resources of Retreat Healthcare for a full spectrum of the most comprehensive and current psychiatric, psychological, neuropsychological, and nutritional assessments in the region.

Services & Treatment

Following the evaluation we work together to determine the best treatment option, which may include individual, group, couples, family psychotherapy, and/or medication. In addition to traditional psychotherapy, we offer several specialized treatment programs, as outlined below:

Child & Adolescent Services

We incorporate various treatment modalities, including individual and family therapy, play therapy, psycho-education, behavioral therapy and medication. Extensive collaboration with families, schools and community agencies is an integral component of these services.

Adult Relationships

Much of our work in the area of adult relationships is centered on helping men and women understand, clarify and improve relationships in the family, couple, friendship, work, community and social arenas.

Mind/Body Medicine

Cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, hypnosis treatments, stress reduction and relaxation training are available as behavioral medicine for such problems as anxiety, phobias, chronic pain, obsessive compulsive disorder, psychophysiological and psychosomatic disorders, sleep disorders and stress-related problems.

Eating Disorders, Compulsive Eating & Obesity

Individualized and comprehensive treatments are available for compulsive overeating, anorexia nervosa, bulimia, obesity and atypical eating disorders. Treatments may include individual, group, family psychotherapy, psychopharmacological and nutritional assessment, behavior management and physician consultation. Consultation is also available for individuals undergoing gastric bypass surgery and other weight reduction strategies.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a comprehensive treatment to help people diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder whose lives have become unlivable due to issues such as emotional lability--feeling as if their mood is on a rollercoaster-- frequent conflicts in interpersonal relationships, impulsive behaviors, confused feelings about their sense of “self”, and, for many, a pattern of self-harm and suicidal experiences. The Anna Marsh Behavioral Care Clinic offers DBT as a full treatment program, including Individual DBT Therapy, DBT Skills Group, DBT Skills Calls, and DBT Consultation Team for the DBT therapists. Women’s Psychology

Many of our clinicians are experts in women’s psychological development and psychotherapeutic theory and techniques. Therapy is specifically geared to women’s concerns, such as self-esteem, assertiveness, body image, intimacy, power, relationship dynamics, difficult emotions and life transitions. Our staff psychiatrist has specialized knowledge in the treatment of psychiatric conditions connected to times of hormonal change such as during pregnancy, the post-partum period, and perimenopause. She is able to offer information about the risks and benefits of psychiatric medication during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Psychiatry

Our psychiatrists are available for diagnostic evaluations and ongoing medication management. We strive to offer integrated care in which the therapist, psychiatrist and primary care provider work hand-in-hand. Patients who are unsure about whether medication is appropriate for them are welcome to schedule an assessment to explore this option. We pride ourselves in allowing adequate time during appointments to complete a comprehensive assessment and discussion of therapeutic options.

Psychological Testing & Evaluation Services

At times, psychological testing and evaluation may be required. The psychologists at Anna Marsh offer personality, intelligence, diagnostic, psychoeducational, cognitive and dementia testing as well as disability determination, disability impairment, personal injury, and competency evaluations. Forensic services are also available.

Consultation & Education

We offer consultation and educational services for professionals working in healthcare, schools and other industries. Our expertise includes case consultation, supervision, interventions for emergency or crisis situations, educational workshops, and program and staff development.

Referral Contact and Community Support

We understand the importance of working together with the client's community support systems, especially the referral source and resources within the community. Information from the referring professional is always incorporated into the treatment plan, and we value continuing communication and collaboration with the referral source as the client progresses in treatment. Community resources are utilized when indicated to ensure each individual receives the care and service they need.

Appointments and Fees

Day and evening appointments are available. Insurance reimbursement will cover most of our outpatient services. Service contracts are available to schools, businesses, insurance companies, employee assistance plans and managed care companies. We accept Master Card and VISA.
